You need to make sure the logo is positioned 3 to 4 inches below the neckline.

This position is the visual center of a camera’s frame. Whether your customers are taking selfies or going for a run, your brand logo will always be in the clearest, most captured position.

It’s not just about placing it 3-4 inches below the neckline. You need to ensure the logo sits above the armhole line.

This will guarantee that no matter how many inches you move, the design will not droop below the chest, which prevents it from looking baggy or making it feel cheap.

To ensure the placement aligns with the level of the pectoral muscles, you only need to place the logo slightly below the high point of the T-shirt’s shoulder.

When you move, like a body twist, if the logo is placed too far outward, it’s going to slide to the side; if placed too far inward, it will look crowded.

Keeping a 3 to 3.5 inches offset outward from the edge of the T-shirt neckline, ensure the logo is positioned along the midline of the clavicles.

This ensures that when you spread your arms or swing a racket, the brand logo remains in a position on the flattest area of the chest without any wrinkles or distortion.

Stop taking the lazy practice of using a single screen for all sizes. You need to make sure the logo scales proportionally with the T-shirt size.

If you are a size-inclusive brand, the visual proportions of your garment must adapt to your customers accordingly. A logo that looks perfect on a size S may appear precise but cheap on a size 3XL, due to the excessive surrounding. As the T-shirt sizes increase, the chest width becomes wider. If the logo’s position remains, it will appear too close to the neckline on larger sizes, causing the T-shirt to look narrow. Therefore, we need to shift the logo outward in sync with the body’s curves to maintain an optimal look.

Keeping the Height Consistent

For longer or larger sizes T-shirt, recalibrate the vertical distance below the neckline. Larger-sized garments are typically longer. If you rigidly adhere to the “4 inches below the neckline”, the logo will appear too low on taller customers, giving them an uninspired look. The dynamic grading system automatically adjusts this height to ensure that the logo remains centered for every customer.

Preserve Functionality

Highly Elastic Fabrics

For highly elastic fabrics (such as nylon-spandex), the use of high-stretch silicone and heat transfer is essential.

Normal paste will crack when the fabric is stretched. Take a jersey number replacement as an example, you must ensure that when athletes exert force, the fabric reaches its maximum extension, and the logo contracts synchronously like a “second skin.”

Mesh or Ultra-Lightweight Fabrics

For mesh or ultra-lightweight fabrics, we can use laser perforation or micro-perforation printing techniques.

The biggest concern with sportswear is stuffiness. Large, solid printing will block sweat-wicking pores. We need to ensure continuous airflow, which keeps the T-shirt stylish while remaining breathable.

Dark-colored Fabrics

This depends on your size range. If you offer a wide size range, we highly recommend dynamic scaling to prevent the logo from looking too small on larger chests. However, for a narrow size range, using a single-size print might be more cost-effective.

Can I Use the Same Placement Coordinates for Both Men’s and Women’s Fits?

We don’t really recommend doing this. Women’s garments often have different neckline depths and bust curves from men’s. Will the Placement Affect the Garment’s “drape”?
